Testimonials

WOW! This place is really fantastic! I’ve been there now in both winter and summer, and each season there had its magic. The house has absolutely everything you could possibly want … and more! The “kitchen” - which is a family room, kitchen, living room all rolled into one (in addition to two other living rooms!) - has all the amenities including a huge fireplace and one of those japanese grills where you can throw 15 eggs and bacon - or whatever - on to cook all at once. When we were there, we ended up spontaneously dancing in addition to hanging out, drinking and eating. There are enough rooms for kids with families to have plenty of space to themselves - especially with the additional upstairs living room/game room. We tried out 3 of the many ski areas areas (all connected), even using some of the ski equipment the hosts offer (it’s like they’re equipped for a camp!) and coming home to the fireplace, sauna, fitness room and games made it feel like our own private hotel/house. And in the summer?! The terrace (which is like an outdoor living/dining room with fireplace and bonfire pit) made it hard to leave, but we “forced” ourselves (sometimes). The scenery is absolutely breathtaking and we went to the Planai area for some of the glorious walks/hikes and unmatched views. Every day, we’d end up at the pool, which is practically in the backyard, and wind down the day before the next great happy hour, dinner, lounging. I used to work for a ski magazine and have traveled to many ski resorts in Europe and stayed in many houses and hotels, but I honestly think this one is unmatched in its casual elegant taste and comfort, the amenities on offer, and its great location, both summer and winter. The hosts are ever so nice and helpful, and you can feel the love and thought they’ve put into the house.
